Any reliable call blocking solution ?

NoWaterCooling007

Due to my work, my phone number is widely shared and I get way too many calls from telemarketers and annoying robocalls.

I keep blocking numbers on my phone with no end in sight. I end up missing some important calls in the process. I blocked my kid's school phone accidentally! My main phone is an iPhone but also have a backup Samsung. Did anyone face similar calls? Any free apps which can help? Don't want to deal with my carrier as they will charge me extra.

I used Hiya years ago and it worked fine, but I have seen all the OS updates messing with these apps and the devs can be slow to fix.

Thanks. Let me give it a shot. Also have seen that Google has this built-in on Pixel but I'd prefer something for iPhone.

Google Pixel takes care of 99.99999% of those calls. It has a much better database to stop those calls to begin with. For the few that get through, they first have to get through your personal google assistant. My life improved significantly since the Pixel. I don't think there is even a paid service doing the same.

Unfortunately, they don't offer that on other Android phones, and of course not on the iPhone. They know what they have and it is worth gold.

Wow so tempted to get a Pixel just for this but stuck on the iPhone. Which Pixel are you on?

Just saw this https://www.xda-developers.com/truecaller-assistant-launch-us/

Truecaller seems to be similar to Hiya and Pixel and works on the iPhone too. But the Assistant seems to be available only on the paid subscription.

I have the P6 pro. The Pixel 7 should be released soon, though.

I don't even remember I have call screen. I just see the summary of all the spam texts and phone calls. Before that, with my Samsung phone, I got at least 2 spam calls a day. But not a single one since May when I got the Pixel.

There probably are no free apps. If there are free ones, I suspect they sell access to you to tele marketers...
