That's fine for a 11900, but are you buying both the cpu and mobo now?

Do you need the 11900? Your 11700F is probably more than enough, and even if you do get an 11900 you could probably sell your current CPU and motherboard and go for 12700 which is better.

 

For your original question, the Torpedo should work fine.

Nope got 11700f was just wanted to know if I came across half cheap i9 my mobo could take it

There's no real difference between 11700 and 11900

 

Same core configuration, same cache, all it has is slightly higher frequency
