Interesting, I haven't seen that design before. What model/brand drive is that? You can try prying/rotating the thing on top of the spindle to see if it moves. I wouldn't recommend it, but some brute force with a common screwdriver and a hammer may make some progress lol

Seagate SR340015A (40GB)

Yea no 😄

Tried to un unscrew it with everything and anything.

Just drilled it and it just solid metal and there is no winding.
