Fortnite FPS issues

I just installed a new asus 3060 ti and I have played games like Battlefield 5, Overwatch, God of War, and Teardown and they all run as expected. However, when I go to play Fortnite, I get periodic frame stutters down to 60 or 70. I have tried performance mode and DX 11 mode as well as dropping graphics quality to low and also bringing it up to epic but the drops are almost identical no matter what i do in game. Neither my cpu or my gpu get maxed out usage when im playing but this still happens, about 80% max on my cpu and 60-70% max on my gpu. Has anybody had this kind of issue before? Thanks in advance
