Hello Everyone,

i was looking to get me a 3d printer and can’t really decide which one would be good for the start.

My budget is around 200 Euro, I have looked at the ender 3 pro or the anycubeic I3 mega S. But ill guess there are a lot more options that I don’t know about.

Do you have some suggestions?

Thanks in advance 😊

I would summarise it as “parts for DIY projects”. Not really figurines or something like that, more like adapters or fan shrouds.

Resin you can get ABS like but it depends on your budget. Lower end FFF printers aren’t great at detail and a lot don’t print harder materials like PETG well so a lot of the time you’re stuck with PLA which isn’t great with heat and isn’t very strong.

As you are only printing for parts I'd recommend starting with an ender 3 series. However be prepared there is a good chance you will have to tinker with it quite a bit to get perfect prints.

PLA is indeed not very resistant to heat, however its one of the strongest printable materials. For reference see https://www.simplify3d.com/support/materials-guide/properties-table/

Sorry for answering just now, I hat a lot to do in the last weeks so i haven’t had time to visit the forum. But I got me a printer, I settled on the “Anycubic Mega SE” just because I read some good reviews, read that it is basically an ender 3 clone with the “Ultrabase” (which I heard good things about) and I got quite a good deal on it. I got it for 133 € which is about 60 € less than the Ender 3 pro.

So far, I’m quite impressed what this cheap machine can do, if printed PLA and PETG so far and it worked quite well. I just hat some problems with bridging gabs, where there is notable sag even when I try to bridge a 15 mm gab with PLA, but I think it ether my fold for setting a wrong temperature or something or its just that the parts cooling fan is not strong enough. Or maybe its just the PLA I bought that is not that good.

No worries, thats a darn good deal. As for the bridging, what is your print speed? Your cooling fan should do 15mm just fine and PLA being the issue could be, but unlikely imo. I only had issues with the included PLA with my ender.
