Thanks for the info. I didn't know Tech PowerUp GPU website has this info, but still I don't see quite many

listed in the comparison chart.

These 3 is basically lower tier cooler compare to their more premium SKU from the same brand so expect lower thermal performance. 🤔

Hi,

I have made up my mind to get a AMD Radeon RX 6700XT. So, I would like to know which card is the best. Well, what I mean is, having a good overclocking ability and thermal. RGB is optional but a nice feature to have, but my main important is the thermal because I live in tropical country and we're averaging 36c room temperature even at night without air conditioning.

So, currently, my local shop has:

- AsRock RX 6700XT 12GB Challenger D OC

- AsRock RX 6700XT 12GB Phantom Gaming D OC

- Asus TUF Gaming RX 6700XT OC

- Gigabyte RX 6700XT Eagle

- Gigabyte RX 6700XT Gaming OC

- MSI RX 6700XT Gaming X

- MSI RX 6700XT Mech 2x

- Sapphire RX 6700XT Nitro OC

Bonus (if the pricelist is to be believe but very likely a typo or open box):

- MSI RX 6800 Gaming X Trio

There's also Asus ROG Strix RX 6700XT, but it is very pricey, almost to the point where I can add another USD 50 or so for an RX 6800. But speaking of which, I found MSI RX 6800 Gaming X Trio also a little over my budget, but very close, should I get it?

So, among these, which is much better for thermal?

Oh, don't worry about my case. My case is a standard ATX case (more specific: ThermalTake Versa H26) so it can fit GPU length of 310mm according to manual though I think it can fit more than that (I think up to 360mm in length with a support) because I don't have radiator install. For more information with my setup, you can see my profile which list my current build, but here's a short summary:

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

RAM: 2x 8GB 3600MHz Corsair Vengeance

MoBo: Gigabyte Aorus X570 Pro WiFi

PSU: Gigabyte G750H Semi Modular 750W

Anyway, games that I'm going to play are Anno 1800, Doom Eternal, Genshin Impact, Forza Horizon, Assassin's Creed 5 including Odyssey and Valhallam Mass Effect Legendary Edition and Crysis Remastered. I usually play in Ultra-Wide 1080p (2560x1080) 75fps with all quality set to extreme or ultra (I like beautiful graphics) with MSAA x4 if possible, without using FSR.

Regards,

Chiyawa

Please Note: I don't include price because price is too volatile, they can change within days.

Also Note: I prefer AMD Radeon over nVidia GeForce.

Hmm... I only realised that RX 6700XT and RX 6850M XT are almost identical. Hmm...

🤔Hmm... That's interesting. (Oh look, I have learn where the emoji is located)

Thanks for the comparison chart. I sure love Red Devil from Power Color, but they are so expensive. Asus Strix, well with the current price, I could get a 'cheap' RX 6800XT.

And yeah, for Malaysia market, they usually implementing price stacking, so meaning that they will calculate the price of their existing stock as well as new stock and average them. So for example, assuming that they already set their profit, they have 10 old stock cost around USD1500 per piece, and they bought new 10 units of the same thing but the price is USD1200 per piece including profit. So, 15k + 12k is 27k, 27k divide by 20 pcs, and you'll get USD1350 each. So, after a while, they sell off 12 units, having 8 units left, and that 8 units cost are USD10800, and when they restock, this time with each unit cost USD1000 including profit and they bought 20 pieces, so it will be USD1100 per piece.

So, our price is a little slow to go down. One consolation is that when the price starts to hike, we still have time to get the parts at lower price for a short while.

Anyway, thanks. Now I have a better insight of each GPU thermal performance.
