Help upgrading my pc

Greetings,

So i was looking to do some upgrades to my current pc, i was wondering what would be the first thing you would upgrade of the following components:

CPU: I7 10700

CPU COOLER: DARK ROCK 4 PRO

MEMORY: DDR4 CORSAIR VENGEANCE RGB 2666MHZ

GPU: GTX 1660 SUPER ASUS DUAL 

STORAGE: 1TB WD BLUE, KINGSTON A400 SSD, 500GB NVME.

CASE: CORSAIR 4000D (SOLID PANEL VERSION)

Any suggestions? I use my pc for casual gaming and college.

GPU if you game, an i7 would work with a rtx series GPU

Probably 1080/1080Ti or better.  1440p isn't too strenuous.

 

Btw, college work isn't work.  When people ask about work they want to know if you do heavy photo or video editing, massive spreadsheets for analytics, etc.

When I say 1080/1080Ti or better, that means subtract 1 tier from the newer model generations. So 2070 or better.  3060 or better, etc.  Depends what is available to you and pricing.

Nope, it's a fine case.  What's your fan setup?  Intake and exhaust fans, how many?

3 intake on front, 2 exhaut on top and 1 more exhaust at the back.

GPU for sure. Another 1TB of SSD storage too, if you have the funds.

Case is fine for airflow and heat.  I'd keep it.

 

As @GeorgeMKane says, more SSD love is always a given.  In addition to the Crucial, the Samsung 980 is on sale now for m.2 form factor as well,,,

No, the RX6600 is a weaker GPU for gaming and not worth the price.
