Posted April 18, 2014 Do i need to have my OS on my SSD to take full advantage of the speed that the ssd has e.g.: while loading a game The game needs to be on the SSD. For some games like Arma it's more then just starting up the game that benefits, SSD's can reduce or elliminate stuttering and remove texture popping and LOD switching issues. Posted April 18, 2014 on the internet i read that when the game is on the ssd but the OS not i dont have more speed in general In that case, the game will run and load much more quickly, but the OS will run slower, at the same speed as everything else on the HDD.
