I have this problem for months and still don’t know how to fix it, so first, the laptop will turn on but it wont show anything on the display, I have to reset the cmos and force restart it 3 times while pressing f2 key when it boots it goes to the bios (because I press f2) the date is invalid and the serial number is very random.

Date : 2017/01/01

Serial Number : SSN12345678901234567

The date should be 2022/02/23

And of course the real serial number is not just a random number.

I tried to boot to windows when it was booting the laptop shut off instantly

I tried to boot to windows Installation from USB and the laptop shut off instantly.

I tried to boot to EFI (to update the bios) and it shut off instantly again

I know I can use EZ Flash 3 to update the bios but my battery is dead (EZ Flash 3 require AC Adapter plugged in an 20% battery min)

now I don’t know what’s the problem I am not a technician I’m just a 14 yo kid that really wants to play games smoothly.

the laptop

What laptop is it? Do you know it's name or maybe a release date?

So you use the power cable to make sure, there is supply voltage?

Looks like the BIOS battery is empty, so it can't auto increase the time.

Okay. Laptops live for like 7-10 years, so it shouldn't fail yet.

Did it work before?

Shutting down before boot is pretty fast, so I dont think it's a temperature problem.

You can still try to open it up and blow out the dust. Maybe replace the thermal paste.
