Things like chkdsk?

I run drivepool with drives that aren't mounted to a letter and used chkdsk with the volume id which is scanning currently but wonder if i need chkdsk to be scanning monthly?

 

I'm currently shifting 700gb of data a day from download to storage and sorting and figure it probably is needed but can only see other programs like windows surface scanner or such as an easier option other than a bat script running every week?

 

So yes, wondering if there's anything i can run with drivepool that can do it easier, on a schedule and without always trying to run on a reboot if able. Chkdsk on a drivepool says it's raw and wasn't recommended as is.

 

I also didn't jbod raid cause it's more involved atm and my raid pc is getting sorted over time and if so i think zfs with raid 5 would allow it like the recent ltt vid did or such?
