Laptop hangs when restarting

Go to solution Solved by Lord Gaben,

FIXED it, updated the bluetooth driver and the machine is working like a charm :)

I just updated a laptop to Windows 8.1 and when I try to restart and the screen goes black as it normally would except the power and WiFi led lights on the laptop are still on, so  I left it a bit and its was still hanging so I manually shut it down and started it back up again, I booted in safe mode and it can reboot fine in safe mode

could be the gpu drivers, try to uninstall them in safe mode and reboot. Then reinstall the gpu drivers. should work. I know some people who had problems with there gpu drivers after updating to 8.1

Thanks Man I'll try that

Did not work might try reinstall Wireless Driver since the WiFi light is still on when it hangs

nice to c you fixed it. The update to windows 8.1 gave me some issues with drivers to.

Yea it was my sisters laptop but mine did not give me any problems, there weirdest thing is when you upgrade to 8.1 it creates another recovery partition leaving the old one on the disk
