Budget (including currency): 3500 Cad

Country: Canada

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Call of duty, valorant, minecraft and little bit of school work

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have no extra parts so this is a new build, as well as i also do need peripherals like 1 monitor, mouse and keyboard. As well as white is the theme that I’d like. White everything 😅

3500 canadian is quite a lot which is good in today's market. I went with 5000 series Ryzen and a white motherboard with BIOS flashback so you can make sure compatibility is not an issue. Also got a white PSU and some white ram.

PCPartPicker Part List: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/kXvVJf

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8 GHz 8-Core Processor  ($520.50 @ Vuugo)

The real problem will be the graphics card. White GPUs are already expensive, but the way that graphics cards are priced now, it's gonna be really hard to get a build-appropriate selection.

That said, this PC will be able to handle just about whatever GPU it would need.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

If you like AMD better, you can swap the CPU and mobo with this:

PCPartPicker Part List

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X 3.8 GHz 8-Core Processor  ($539.99 @ Newegg Canada)
Motherboard: ASRock B550 Steel Legend ATX AM4 Motherboard  ($259.00 @ Amazon Canada)
Total: $798.99

I feel like this build should be good for your games now and future games that you might be interested in.

Also check your local canada computers. Sometimes you can find a 6700XT for 1000 CAD will save you around 500 or you can even go to a higher end gpu (6800xt). Radeon GPU's are more readily available in Canada so look for them.

you have two main choices rn for cpu

Getting Ryzen 5000 series

Waiting a month for Intel 12th gen

but if I were to build one I'd go with smth like this

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/RVTGrr

just pretend that the cpu is 12th gen, it's not there yet for obvious reasons, the RAM and SSD would also prob go from gen 4 to gen 5

What’s the different between the radeon gpu and an rtx one?

rtx has better ray tracing support and dlss. Also mines better if that's important to you. The availability of Radeon GPU's are a bit better in Canada though. It's pretty hard to find the rtx cards in retailers here.
