Replacing 3.0 riser cable with 4.0

Hello.

 

I've recently put together a system as follows:

Asus Zaku B550 motherboard

AMD 5950x

GSkill 3600mhz 64GB ram

Lian Li Lancool II Mesh

AsRock 6900xt

 

I was (sort of) 😳 looking at these items:

Is it possible to replace the existing 3.0 riser cable on the bracket kit with the 4.0 riser cable?
