So I was planning out my workstation/gaming rig. I do mainly photography work and thought about video editing and would like to get some feedback on this rig. It is probably a bit overspect but I'd like to future proof. Is there anything that I might have missed or anything you would recommend for me to do differently? I would also love to get a bit deeper into gaming with enough quality and fps for example cyberpunk and doom.

Cardinal sin, always limit yourself in paying for computer.

1. Swap the 2 2TB setup for 1 4TB HDD. You can always partition, and this way youll reduce the power consumption and noise in your system.

2. If youre going for a 32GB kit, 2*16 is already going to give you the same 4 stick performance gain most of the time. The performance gain thats being observed in Zen 3 is not specifically from having 4 stick setup, its having a dual rank and dual channel setup, which 4 stick setup emulates. Most 16GB modules are already inherently dual rank.

3. Notch yourself down to 750/850W PSU. Self explanatory, 1000W is a tad overkill, and i would save those for 3090 system. But if you want a quieter PSU, stick with the 1000W then.

4. Get down to 3080. In almost all benchmark, the performance gain is so insignificant compared to its price, its ridiculous.
