Hey guys,I bought la noire when it was on steam a while ago, well I realized this game is an awful port, I am getting audio problems. I can't here my car or my partner speaking. I have astro a40's and they work great on every other game. I am using Realtek audio.

Is it plugged in?

Is the Astro A40 a surround sound headset? I know some games have problems with surround sound and work best only in stereo, I experienced a similar situation in Dead Island with my Logitech G930's

Good Luck!

They are surround sound on console, on pc I think they are stero. And yes they are plugged in.

How are they connected? Im assuming that you are going from computer-mix amp-headset, try connecting the headset directly to the computer. And for the stereo, the mix amp can only be used in 7.1 surround mode from optical audio. If your onboard doesn't have optical and you want surround you can get something like a Xonar DG/DGX. Lastly, go into your in-game settings and play around with the audio a bit to see if that helps.

I'm not using the mixamp, I'm using stereo green connector with a mic plugin. Also I played this game on speakers and the same problem occurred. Now I know it's the game, not my astro's.

definitely sounds like a game issue. At least it wasn't the headset though  :)

Diffidently sounds like a game issue. At least it wasn't the headset though  :)

Diffidently? Lol. Yea if it was the headsets that would mean no computer for at least 3 weeks due to warranty replacement.

La Noire only has the problem when you are running in 5.1 or 7.1, stereo should work. i know its stupid but its better than having almost no sound.

Set the audio to stereo, I had the same issue, and that was the only way to be able to play it decently

Did switching to stereo solve your problem?
