KFA2 GeForce RTX 3080 Ti EXG vs SG?

So a store has gotten a few cards in and im just wondering if i should go for the EXG KFA2 that seems to have beefier cooling (thiccer) card than the 4-fan (3front/1back) KFA SG card?

 

The EXG is at 2238$(19900NOK~) while the SG is at 2126$(18990NOK~)

 

Spent 110$ more for a beefier card or go for the slimmer (but with a backfan added onto it) SG card?

 

Both are in stock for now and its been like that for the past 3 days

Indeed. EXG has 92mm / 102 mm / 92 mm fans instead of tripe 92 mm like on SG cards. On paper it doesn't look like a crazy big change, but for that reason whole fin stack is higher to accommodate 102 mm fan.
I can't compare one to one 3080Ti EXG and SG, but I've 3090SG and 3080Ti EXG - 3090 is simply smaller

You know this is 4 months later where i practicly now own a MSI RTX 3080 TI SUPRIM X..

 

Also just seems that KFA2 seems to be similar to gigabyte/asrock products where they look cheaper and ive decided to avoid them all together for the best.

It is true. SG looks OK, but additional fan is flimsy. EXG looks better, but it's nothing when compare to Hall Of Fame  

 

BTW. My buddy has the same Suprim X like you. Hope you use provided bracket for it. He got over 92C on VRAM while gaming. And believe me, his case has better flow than Dyson vacuum cleaner xD

Anyway, the problem was caused by it's heaviness - shroud was giving up. That way pads on VRAM  didn't have a proper contact.

Anyway, the problem was caused by it's heaviness - shroud was giving up. That way pads on VRAM  didn't have a proper contact.

The bracket doesn fit in my Lian Li Dynamic White with 3x fans pushing cold air into the gpu from the bottom. Im not worried about temps when i run it stock at the moment to rule out flicker issues.

 

Sorry to shit on KFA cards, almost went for those cards.

My vram seems to go to 76c at max load but its never done above 70% so thats where the "max load" seems to be.. Unless i torture the gpu, but i wouldnt do that.
