So I just built my first pc and the short is I cannot figure out how to get my audio to work. I've installed the drivers for it and everything else is working. I have a monitor which has built in speakers and this shows up on windows 10 and CS:GO as an audio option but even when I put it up to 100% I get no audio. I've also tried bluetooth headsets one being a turtle beach headset (I've heard they don't work well with PC) and also Airpods. Both have connected according to Windows but no audio is coming out. I did get a little bit on the headset when I first connected it on Discord but there was never any audio from CS:GO. Any advice on how to fix this? Thanks!

64-Bit Windows 10

Ryzen 9 3900x

MSI MAG Tomahawk X570 Wifi

16GB Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro (2x8GB)

Radeon Rx 6800 Aorus Master

RMx 1000W

Hmm... that sounds weird.

Here's some basic troubleshooting:

-Check Windows Volume Mixer (Right click speaker icon on your taskbar)

-Check if your GPU has got audio output, and that the audio output was set to a certain device that you know will work.

-Since your PC is new, you probably won't mind resetting it.

(Also, it could be a problem with the mobo)

Also, did you use an bluetooth dongle, or was the bluetooth capability built into your motherboard, please answer those questions and I might get an Idea of what your problems could be!

Good luck

Okay so I've tried spotify and lord and behold it works. Idk why it won't work for games which is a bit weird and also the airpods are working now so it might just be an issue with the turtle beach headphoines. (The motherboard does have Bluetooth 5.0 built in). The volume mixer are turned all the way up and I'm not sure how to check for if the graphics card has audio output. It's currently wired with a hdmi cable so maybe it is an issue with CS:GO rather than the PC itself?

yep that's all the way up. Also I edited my reply before because I've managed to get something working

Great. For the games, it might be the master volume that's not making contact. And it's not worth it using the monitor speakers, they're good only when your ears get tired. Those airpods might be better than the speakers built in-to your monitor.
