I recently  got a new keyboard, Microsoft Wired Keyboard 200, yes I know, pretty shitty, but I really don't see the point in all these expensive peripherals. Anyway, I'll be sitting on my computer, then all of a sudden, I get the peripheral connect sound play and the lights on the keyboard (num lock, cap lock and scroll lock) turn off. Then I can't use the keyboard for 1 second or so, then it starts up again.

Cheers & Best Regards,

Arcapse

Avoiding this is the point of those expensive peripherals. Ok, not really, but it sounds like connectivity issues, have you tried all the different ports and updating keyboard drivers?

Is the keyboard connected directly to the montherboard? This sometimes happens when using hubs, ports on the case, etc. Also, try other ports on the motherboard's i/o.

Yep, and from what I am aware, there are no drivers listed on the download section of Microsoft's website page for this keyboard.

Tried all ports on my case, doesn't fix it. And I've don't know how to connect it directly to my MOBO.

It's probably going to need a generic driver. Go to Start Menu and type "devices and printers" > right click your keyboard and select properties > go to the hardware tab > select anything with 'keyboard' on it, or the keyboard's model > click the properties button >click change settings > go to the driver tab > click update driver button.

To connect directly to your mobo just plug the keyboard in to the back of the case.

I mean if it's connected to the back of your computer. Also, are you experiencing it with other devices as well? Especially the more demanding ones? Like smartphones – if it drops the connection, having random problems charging it via the computer’s usb, etc. If not, it might be a problem in the keyboard.
