Help, New Build Not Posting

Hi Forum,

 

I have recently updated my PC hardware to the following spec. 

 

motherboard Asrock B365M Phantom Gaming 4, BIOS v4.30 

 

CPU i7-9700k 

 

RAM 16GB DDR4 2400Mhz 

 

GPU RTX 2060 

 

PSU 500W Gold + 

 

when I boot the PC I'm am not getting a post. The Post Status Checker shows a solid red light at DRAM and a flashing red light at CPU.

 

Troubleshooting 

 

Re settled CPU 

Tried re seating RAM in different sequences 

Tried onboard GPU and GPU 

Tried resetting CMOS 

Tried RAM in different system 

- works fine 

Tried different PSU 

Removed Motherboard from case and tested.

 

Anyone any ideas before I send it back as faulty

Yeah, sounds like a dead CPU. But before you RMA:

1. Are you sure CPU power is plugged in?

2. Got any other LGA 1151 3xx series chipset board you can use?

3. Do you hear any POST beeps from the system?

4. Try touching the CPU bare, does it make any heat?

1, Yes CPU plugged in correctly 

2, No other 3 series chipset 

3, No speaker on the motherboard 

4, yes gives of heat
