I had recently bought a H110, but then decided to upgrade to Z87. Now I can't get the backplate off the old motherboard, because of the adhesive.

Are there any tricks to getting it off? With brute force I feel like I am almost breaking the motherboard in half if I'd continue. If not, anyone knows where I can get it? I could not find it on Corsair's website.

In the worst case scenario could always use foam and just hold it there while you reinstall.

But if you really want: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hydro-series-h80i-h100i-intel-lga-1155-1156-1366-2011-mounting-bracket-kit

Ok, and if I get it off, can I install it in my new mobo without adhesive or is that not recommended?

I would wedge a similar thickness foam like material, I didn't stick mine to mobo just the bracket, so if you just attach new foam with a bit glue and re mount you should be fine.

That one is not for the H110.

I'm still wondering about the usefulness of the foam, it seems quite useless to be honest. I've seen elsewhere that some do use the backplate without the foam.

My bad, I dropped the wrong link.

It has a standard Asetek pump, so I would imagine it would be compatible with: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hydro-series-retention-bracket-kit-for-hydro-series-h40-h50-and-h70-rev-2

But you'd want to contact Corsair just to be sure. Asetek bracks should be universe as they're just rebadged.
