sudo /etc/init.d/FAHClient stop is not working

I'm not great at using Ubuntu or any other Linux Distro but when using the command "sudo etc/init.d/FAHClient stop" it doesn't do anything. Am I using the wrong command or something?

What are you trying to do? How are you determining it's not working? Seems like it worked fine to me.

 

Also, you don't need to run commands with sudo if you're logged in as root.

I did ps aux and wouldnt it have a response when it gets stopped?

I know its on because my cpu is at 80%. It also shows in htop. The command isnt doing anything.

Post the output of 

/etc/init.d/FAHClient status

Also try killing FAH from htop instead of stopping it with init.d.

The output was "fahclient is not running" which is odd considering that the program is running and it shows that its using 80% of cpu. I had done this before and it said the same output but I dont really understand why its doing this.
