Alienware m17 R4 fps problem

Hi all this is my first post so I hope I'm in the right place. 
I have an Alienware m17x R4 with the following specs
Intel core i7-7820HK 2.90GHz
16 gb ram ddr4
Nvida 1080 8gb

I think I'm not using the full potential of my pc and I have noticed that in some games (like warzone or cyberpunk) I have a random fps drop. 
I usually have around 55-60 fps while playing warzone but sometime I have a drop to 20-13 for a couple of second (is entirely random non just in one place or scenario)
I know that someone more expert can help me in realising the full power of this pc so that I can enjoy a better gaming experience.

I don't think so, I have made some games while checking the temperature and it stay between 75C and 80c 
I have also just changed the thermal paste to be sure it wasn't an heat problem

are you using any overclocks?

if yes dial them back and see if that fixes anything

I wasn't till yesterday. 
I have tried to overclocks (from the bios) hoping that things would change but the problem is still the same.

you could maybe try increasing the cpu power limit in bios and the cpu power limit from msi afterburner (of changing the power profile to max performance in the nvidia control panel)
