System Specs

Ryzen 3900X (water cooled AIO)

ASUS STRIX X570-I Gaming

G.skill Trident Z 3600 Ram

EVGA 2070 Super XC

EVGA Supernova 850 T2 PSU

System sits behind an APC Back-UPS Pro 1300 (there were some power flickers in my building the last couple of days)

While using the system all of a sudden the keyboard stopped responding. The mouse worked even though it was plugged into the spare USB port on the keyboard - which is a Corsair K95 which has 2 cables that plug into the PC, so the USB is a pass through. Anyway like I said, everything else was responding. I was listening to a podcast that continued to stream over Spotify. So I went and restarted the system the normal way. I stepped away at this moment to use the restroom only to find a black screen when I got back. So I did a hard reset from the tower and could see that it was not posting. This system has been up and running since last February. I installed the latest BIOS about a month ago. I believe I had DOCP on to set the RAM at it's rated speed. I had benchmarked the system in its current config for stability (although not a long term stress test).

Error light on the ASUS mobo is the yellow DRAM light. All fans and RGB were working.

Steps already taken

  1. Reseat RAM
  2. Tried 1 RAM stick at a time, on both of the 2 DIMM slots
  3. Tried known good RAM (RAM that used to be in this system so it should be compatible as well).
  4. Clear CMOS via jumper
  5. Removed CMOS battery and repeated CMOS jumper clear (this was bastard to do because the battery is buried in a VRAM heat spreader built around the IO shield on this little ITX board)
  6. Reseated a number of power connectors and removed all peripherals and the GPU to see if I can get it passed the DRAM error light

Cheers in advance for any thoughts.
