Can't bring new build up

Having trupble getting a new build to come up. Athlon 200GE, Gigabyte GA-A320M-S2H, 8G RAM. It boots, I see the BIOS screen, if I move the mouse the pointer on the screen moves, then the screen goes black after about a second (whether or not I move the mouse). Mouse and KB plugged into USB slots. Been a long time since I put one together, what am I missing?

e.t.a: Using on chip video thru SVGA connector on MB, reset and power buttons function as they should, no drives plugged in yet.
