Mobo: NZXT Z370

CPU: i7-8700k

Drives: 500gb AND 1TB Samsung SATA SSD, 1TB HDD, Crucial m.2 1tb

GPU: MSI RTX 3080 Suprim X

PSU: Corsair RM 750x

In short, the most recent addition to my PC was the RTX 3080. Has been working great for about 3-4 weeks. Suddenly, two days ago, I went to install a game on my m.2, and it wasn't listed in file explorer. Wasn't shown in the drive formatting app either. Restarted the pc, no luck. Restarted, unplugged everything, re inserted the drive, it shows up again. Played a game on the drive, worked for an hour or so, game shuts off out of nowhere and the drive has disappeared again. Restart the pc, drive is appearing. And the cycle continues. Any idea what the issue is? I had considered thst there may be a pcie lane issue, but I assume I would have experienced this issue weeks ago if that was the case. Any suggestions?

I had a similar problem except with my case, my windows os was installed on the drive so the computer would just lock up at various points. I noticed that in the bios, the drive only showed some of the times. It was caused by a faulty m2 drive. A sabrant 2tb m2 drive. I had to return it and get a replacement which worked.
