I just want to update my PC with new CPU, RAM and MB(almost a decade old).
With almost none existing experience i really hope u can help me and correct me if i picked the wrong items which may not match.
I do know that the existing CPU can not keep up with the GPU.
Its currently using the following;

MB:   Asus M5A78L-M/USB3 Hybrid CFX
CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight-core Processor (it uses a big heat-sink and 1 fan pushing air tru it)
GPU: Geforce GTX 1660 (updated 2019)
RAM: Crosair venagace  2X4GB
SSD:  Samsung 860 Evo 500GB (updated 2019)
HD:   ST31000524AS ATA 500G
PSU:   Antec 700W  VP700P
Case: Old Cooler-master, 1 intake fan in front, 1 exhaust fan,  acrylic panel having another place for intake fan.

Problems i get while gaming:
I sometimes enjoy a screen freeze for a few seconds. or load very slow. or sudden FPS drops from 100 to 20

I wanted to update/grade it to the following:

Are those products Oké?  Will this solve a lot of issues?
Does it match with my PSU? if so, can i attach coloured extension cords to the existing cables since its not a modular unit.

I really hope on some advice.

Replace that PSU. Most of the Antec PSUS are very bad.

Antec also makes very good power supplies.

@Dooie_appel please share the exact model of your power supply so we can determine if you should keep it

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

PSU tier list

How many watts do I need?

PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Hello sirr,

Well i do not have an budget to go for the 5600X.
I tried to get an payable upgrade and thought a Ryzen 5 3600 would outmatch my current CPU by a very big jump.

Can u maybe tell the difference between that ASROCK B550 and the board i thought would be enough? kinda liked the looks of it.

I hope to hear from u again.
