Hello,

I was planning on expanding RAM memory on my PC. I was checking my current RAM memory frequency and its show some (to me) unusual results. I tried to change frequency in bios, it's currently at 1600 Mhz, but when I check in Windows, it shows "8GB other" and the speed is 400Mhz. Can someone explain how can I correct this or is this normal? My motherboard is ASUS M5A78L-M/USB3 and RAM memory is KINGSTON 8GB HX318C10FB/8 Fury Black.

Thanks in advance.

Don't trust windows to report the correct information CPU-Z shows actual frequency, which is 666.7 MHz. This is 1333 MHz memory because of how DDR works.
Memory speed support depends on the installed CPU. Sempron/Athlon/Phenom CPU's support 1067 MHz DDR3, while FX CPU's support 1867 MHz.

Main: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, 16 GB 4400 MHz DDR4 Linux - Fedora
