I got a new i7-10700k CPU and a new ROG STRIX Z490E motherboard with it, and after installing everything my cat6 cable just won't work nor get detected. I installed there armory crate and there are no drivers in there for me to download, and I have also downloaded the LAN drivers off of the website and it doesn't work. I updated my BIOS and any ideas or ways to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Have you tried a different cable? is there a blinking light on either the computer port or router port while its connected?

If you pull up device manager on your computer, does it properly show a network card?

when i look at the cable one blinking light is green while the other is orange, and i plan on trying out my old cat 5 cable tomorrow, I just need to find it.

update: I tried plugging in my old cat5 cable and the computer lights on the ethernet port wouldn't even light up, most likely because the old cable is kinda messed up.

That would indicate that its detecting a physical connection at least. Have you checked device manager?

yes, i've been trying to work with it for like 7 hours today and my ethernet controller has the yellow exclamation mark and won't work, so what I think the problem is is that my LAN driver isn't downloading correctly and whenever I do download it I get "Cannot install drivers. No Intel(R) Adapters are present in this computer."
