Keep getting Qcode error "02" need troubleshooting help!

I just bought a new computer. Got super lucky at mircocenter

The build is:

Evga 3080

Amd 5900

Asus ROG crosshair VIII wifi hero

Evga 1000 watt psu (from last build)

G.skills tridentz 3600

(Don't know if it matters)

          2x m.2 drives

           Hdd and SDD

I put it all together and once I was done I tried booting it up. And I got the logo screen. And thats it. I kept getting the error code 02 "ap initialization before microcode loading"

From what I read this is a common issue but nothing worked for me.

I tried:

  • Different monitors. With HDMI and display port
  • Different GPU
  • Different ram configurations
  • Different ram
  • No gpu
  • No usbs
  • Switched around the cpu power plugs
  • Pulled out my sata connections.
  • Different power supply plugs
  • Sacrificing a goat
  • Waiting
  • Trying to flash bios
  • Trying to update bios with a usb (might have not done this correctly because i couldn't follow the steps doe to macs being stupid)
  • Hooked up an ethernet
  • Crying
  • Turning it off and on again

I have read that it can "carry through" different mother boards so I would assume that its not a board problem but a personal issue. I don't know if the motherboard supports the chip giving how new the chip is, or since its not updated its giving me issues.

I am hoping someone would have some insight on the issue before I RMA it

Bouns question: i have the lian li dynamic (basic I know lol) i got the NH-D15S and it doesn't fit (no foresight) the VGA plugs also barely fit. They touch the glass.

To help with my decision, should I get the XL version or a smaller cooler. I play on water cooling in the future so the cooling is temporary.

Thank you so much for the help in advice :)

If you think the bios is bricked,

Try again, but here's the how to from Asus.

You can remove the cpu for this proceedure.

About the A2 code, that may be Drive related. Remove them and see if you can post and enter bios. (If bios isn't bricked)

So It's been a bit since I been on the form.

I fixed it. When I originally downloaded the updated on the usb it didn't rename the file. But it did the third time.

There was a whole bunch of problems with that bios version out of the box It's disgusting. But its fixed and I appreciate the help
