Hey everyone, so i recently upgraded from my 4 year old Galaxy S8, to a Realme X3 Superzoom, and amazing phone for the value, no complaints. However, its main advertised feature is its camera/s, is very underwhelming in the stock realme camera app. Even using the full 64mp sensor, the photos just dont look as good as i expected. I tried a ported version of the google camera app, just as a comparison, and even in the fixed 16mp mode it restricts me too since its not fully optimised for this phone, the photos are so much clearer, with more detail and very very accurate colour reproduction, ive attached some examples below. Problem is, being a ported app, its not very good for day to day use, crashes often, cant select any of the other 4 lenses, etc. So does anyone have any recommendations for a google camera app alternative thats just as good? Will be highly appreciated thanks.

Realme app left, Google app right.

Check out "Open Camera" and "Manual Camera (Pro)", both are pretty nice.

Sadly, nothing but the manufacturer Camera app will be able to access the full pixel resolution of the camera, due to the way they work. I have the same issue with my Blackview BV9900.

Fair enough, hoping Realme step up their game in software then, cos clearly the hardware is there. Its funny how the google app actually looks like it has more detail in 16mp mode than the realme app does in 64mp mode, its quite sad really. And thanks for the apps, will give them a try and compare!
