Front panel audio not working.

So, just like my last PC case,  my front panel audio for some reason isn't working, I thought it was my PC case, but i have gotten an entirely new case, and motherboard. I have triple checked that all front panel devices are in fact plugged in. Uninstalled my sound drivers, restarted my computer and installed them again, realtek HD audio manager shows that it can see the front panel audio connector, and windows also sees it when i am playing something, yet nothing is playing from my headphones.
I have tried these headphones on my phone, my laptop and my dads computer,  including in the rear audio jack where i have my speakers plugged into, the headphones do in fact work. However on both PC cases and motherboards front panel audio does not work. Am i missing something? How do i get this to work? Do i need to change a BIOS setting?image.thumb.png.b6d45ff5957ec1aae767b938934d2b96.png
