I'm trying to capture my SNES and it just looks bad. I'm at my wits end.
I'm using RetroRGB Component Cables into a RertoTink2x. That is going HDMI into a StarTech USB 3.0 Capture Card. And I'm using OBS to capture the footage. Everything just looks dark and kind of muddy. Please, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Truth be told, the SNES' video output is kinda mediocre usually, but it's generally not all that dark. Look into your capture card's settings in OBS and check out how the black levels are handled. Since you have a StarTech capture card, it'll be in the actual capture card settings with the settings of "Bypass", "Shrink" or "Expand" (not on my desktop right now, I'd give you precise menu options otherwise).

Play around with that and lemme know if anything changes.

I haven't had it very long. I'm very pleased with it so far. Like I said the only issue I'm having is specifically with the SNES and the RetroTink2x. IT captures everything else very well. I got this card because EposVox recommended it so highly.

I will play around with it when I get a chance and let you know.
