Hi all!

I'm gonna get this straight off the bat and say, I'm no video or audio professional. I am someone who works for an event organisation who are looking to get into live streaming events and recording pre-event shows to our customers (aka, attendees of events). I've been looking into how the team are looking to film the events with cameras and we have come up with a few solutions for the different requirements we have. One issue I am having is audio.

So essentially we mainly need audio for out pre-event shows. We have a minimum of 2 hosts which we would like the opportunity to have on lavalier microphones or handheld microphones, depending on the situation. For the pre-event show we plan on just using a simple DSLR or Mirrorless camera on a tripod on a gimbal if we are moving around a area. I am unsure if I would need to have 2 receivers and if it would work.

I appreciate all responses and value them all.

Any questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Thanks!

So would 2 wireless microphones suffice? You say minimum of 2 hosts... you'd need something along the lines of this. https://www.sweetwater.com/c994--Lavalier_Microphone_Wireless_Systems

You could also grab an additional wireless handheld microphone as long as they are on the same band. (you'd lose a lav though)

If you needed support for more you'd have to find a 3 channel/4channel receiver or buy a second receiver.

The guys over at sweetwater are great, so feel free to give them a call and have the actual audio experts walk you through what you'd all need. Once they have some recommendations for you, try searching for the recommended equipment from at least 2 other vendors to see if you can get a better deal or second opinions.
