I have a floppy reader but not a floppy disk. Could I use USB?

According to AMI general recovery, yes. However the motherboard manual should really help this inquire.

Asus motherboards come with recovery right on the motherboard disk. Just slap the disk in and boot the bios recovery.

You should also start one for bios modding. I would love to help if you need any!!

There are very few people in the world that are good at modifying a motherboard bios. I would just do a general recovery tip and trick guide. It would feature mostly about more recent motherboards and older legacy would be under that.

Video cards, I have some play here and there with modding bios' and have only done 1 hard volt mod so far in all these years. I'm not sure I meet the requirements to set up a guide for people. There's a lot more to it than just flashing a new bios. There's multiple tools and each generation of card may use a different tool and flasher.

Modding video card bios' these days are less needed when we also have TechPower up and Guru3D which both have extensive Video card bios repositories.

But yea, something to think about. I'd enjoy some company building a good thread to read.

But there are so many In depth guides out there. Most of them beyond even my skill level. I would have to "steal" tons of information lol. **shifty eyes**

So let's say we want to bios mod the RTZ 2080. It's encrypted. That means, no modding. On top of that, NVidia Binned the Founder's Edition cards to be top pic Silicon binning.

So really.... modding a bios would only be useful with more legacy hardware.

As long as you quote the info I think that it would be fine.
