Hello all,

I recently wanted to upgrade my case for airflow and finally up my RAM from 16GB to 32. Well, I had a 4x4 kit of G.Skill Ripjaws V @ 3200MHz speed. I upgraded to a Corsair LPX kit of 4x8 sticks @ 3600MHz speed. When I set the DRAM profile to auto, it works perfect at the default 2133 or 2666 speed that x299 defaults to (can't remember what the exact speed was). But when I go into the BIOS and try to set the XMP profile, it won't boot to my desktop. I can't even reset the PC, I have to hard reset it with the power button to get it to then say that "the system could not boot properly after trying multiple times" and allows me to press the DEL button to get back to the BIOS. I get a code of 53 on my AsRock MOBO that indicates that it really is the RAM itself that's the issue.

Background info: I have an AsRock Taichi MOBO (not the fancier XE version, just the cheaper one). My 7800x is OC'd to 4.5GHz, but that worked with the 16GB kit of RAM, so I wouldn't assume that would be the issue. I checked Corsair's own website to make sure the kit was compatible with x299 and it does say it is.

Do I need to manually put in the timings and 3600MHz speed? Or could something be wrong with the RAM sticks themselves?
