30% cpu usage when idle indexing

what is indexing how can i stop it using 30 % i had 2% before i reinstalled

Is it an ongoing issue? Or has it just been happening for the past few minutes. I would guess since you've reinstalled, that Windows is just indexing all the files. Wait for a bit and see if it still happens.

You can disable indexing by right clicking on your hard drive and disable index drive checkbox

Run all windows updates and check again. if i remember right this was an issue that was patched.
