Posted April 21, 2020 Hi, I was thinking about a new project. I have two (very) old 17” VGA monitors. Both have a 1280x1024 resolution. I would want to “fuse” them together so I would create an 2048x1280 monitor (It would be a secondary monitor). I would place the two panels in a self made wooden frame/enclosure. I’m only not certain about the execution. Is there a way to have a monitor controller both screens ? Or do I keep de current monitor controllers ? Does anyone have experience with this kind of procedure ? Posted April 21, 2020 i would say just have both the monitors plugged in and placed at the side for whatever secondary use. dont think it will be worth the hassle attempting to control them with 1 controller if it is even possible. even if you do manage to do it, you will more than likely get more serious screen desync issues which were commonly seen in the early consumer 4k monitors before 4k became common in the consumer space. On the other hand I could keep the current monitor controllers and configure them as one monitor with Nvidia surround, or do you still see some problems.
