Hi I have been having a few issues with games lately and as a result of thar I have used userbenchmark to bench mark my system which has returned a low score (for my CPU) Performing way below expectations (0th percentile)

Today I have bought some thermal paste and decided to repaste the cpu. Once removing the fan it appears the cpu wasn’t locked in as when I removed the fan the cpu came with it. I thought this could be cause, cleaned the previous paste up and applied the new paste and then connected everything and benched again.

These results were a massive improvement where I believe the cpu came around 65% instead of around 28%. Unfortunately this didn’t last on the next system restart I have benched again and I am back to where I have started. I’m not sure what could have caused this sudden improvement if it wasn’t permanent. I have swapped plug sockets to rule out the power supply. And I’m out of suggestions.

I have noticed even when running a game the speed stays at 1.37GHz whole the base speed is around 3.20GHz. Here are my specs:

Operating System
    Windows 10 Home 64-bit

    AMD Ryzen 5 1600 - 34 °C
