Windows Firewall not blocking .exe

Hi, I use a font program called FontBase https://fontba.se/

it's a handy program but the latest version causes loads of problems.

 

Unfortunately it auto-updates with no option to disable the update, so I have to use it offline for it to work properly.

 

I've tried adding the exe to Windows Firewall, both in and out, but it still downloads the update.

 

I've used Resource Monitor to try and find which .exe is accessing the internet and it sill points to FontBase.exe; there is only one FontBase.exe on my hard drive and it's the same one. It's also the same .exe I'm blocking with Windows Firewall but it still manages to download the update.

 

Does anyone have any suggestions that might help?

Just add it to the host file as 127.0.0.1 releases.fontba.se
