Wall Mounting TV

Alfie1502

I don’t really know if this is the right sub-forum to post this in so if you think this would be better somewhere else; let me know.

Ive just moved into my new barracks and we’ve been given the all clear to drill into the walls so I want to mount my tv to the wall to make use of the little space in my room. The only problem is that directly in front of my bed is a wooden cupboard that wouldn’t support the weight so my only other option is the wall next to my bed.
Does anyone know of a product that would allow me to mount it on the wall next to my bed, but have it positioned 90 degrees so it is facing me in bed? My TV is an LG 50” unit from last year.

Thanks in advance.

That won't do it, it only extends 24" from the wall at the furthest point, so a 50" TV won't go 90 degrees, not even close.

OP, you're unlikely to find something that will do what you want, mainly because the size of the TV... just a question though, couldn't you face the other way in bed and instead have it mounted flat to the other wall?  and use an extension/multi-plug if you need to.

It wouldn’t work, it’s only a small single bed

I don't get what you mean?

Assuming you have your head in one corner of the room, if you simply lay the other way around, you'd be facing the corner, so then mount the TV in that corner.
