looking for some cheap CPU stream computer

Hello guys,

I am looking for a cheap computer as a second to stream games.

What minimum processors should I look for for smooth x264 encoding at 1080p / 60fps or 720p / 60fps?

Will older i5 3450, i5-2400 etc. 3/4 generation processors be enough for such a task?

Shit I barely get by with my 4770k. Comes down to the actual quality you are wanting. I’d get a rig like that and throw a 1060 in it. 
Gameplay and stream quality will decide the hardware and if it’s gonna work.

Are u talking about 1080p/60fps, only stream running? 
 

Did u tried lowering fps to say 40/48 to reduce a bit encoder stress?

No didn’t lower the FPS. It’s fast pace so I won’t be doing that. Isn’t encoder stress as it’s simply cpu bound. Depending on the presets used and quality you want. 
I want the best quality I can without effecting the stream from too high of usage on the cpu.
