760k or 750k?

Go to solution Solved by Kuzma,

760k , it overclocks better and it has better performance and power consumption management.

Ive noticed from benchmarks at multiple sites that the 750k and the 760k basically perform the same and im not sure which one to get... does anyone know which one works better or overclocks better or lasts longer etc. I can get ether one so please dont worry about the price, and dont tell me to get an apu ether cuz i had one and it had alot of bugs. Thanks for any help :)

The only difference between them is 400MHz.

It's luck of the draw, it's all dependent on the binning process.

Results will vary

Go for the 760K, but I am warning you. They really aren't all that fast when it comes to overall system performance.

I am comparing it not with my i5, but with a Celeron G1610.

if you allready have fm2 mobo, then go for the one that is cheaper. if not, then 6300 would be more sensible, bang/buck, more "Futureproof" definitly. i mean, even now 750k ( at stock ) struggles to play games like crysis, bf.

I dont play the games that require lots of horse power, i play a lot of diabo 3 and starcraft 2. And yes i have the msi fm2-a55m-e33 mobo. and im not looking to play it on max ether, im just need something better than my pentuim 4 system to play it on.
