Okay so, I had built a new PC and everything has been working perfectly, except my keyboard, albeit it was a very old one but it was working perfectly that same day I received my case to finish the build. I put on the case to finish the build and everything works fine, but not the keyboard. It wouldn't even turn on anymore so I assumed it was dead. Now, a friend lent me his until my new one arrives, here lies the problem, I connect his keyboard into my PC, and the RGB lights turn on so I assume its receiving power right? But it doesn't do that tingle sound the computer does when you connect something to it. It just turns on and thats it. I can't type or do anything with it its just a light show. Does anybody know how to fix this? I've tried restarting, updating my drivers and disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable. But nothing, I questioned if it was the USB ports but everything else connects perfectly on the first try, the keyboard just turns on but no sound indicating it connected nor can I type with it. Any solutions? Please and thank you.
