Today as I was cleaning my rad, I could very clearly hear the movement of the fluid inside, just like there was a rather larger bubble in the loop. I haven't noticed this when I cleaned it before and  I haven't found any fluid in my case. So is their meant to be that air bubble in it or should I contact Corsair about it.

You probably should. Not sure if the warranty will cover it but you will have to make a thread about it at the corsair forums. They can advise you better.

Feel free to PM for any water-cooling questions. Check out my profile for more ways to contact me.

Shake it about and see if you can dislodge the air bubble...  The rad should preferably be mounted with the barbs at the bottom but it really doesn't matter.  Try both ways and see if it makes a difference.  If it continues, contact corsair and see if you can get an RMA!

I ended up contacting Corsair last night, and today I received word that an RMA has been confirmed. They didn't even ask for any details apart from the details I also have here. Only issue is they want me to send it to Hong Kong, and the issue there is postage is about the same price as a brand new H60.

I will try giving it a shake although the bubble will just end up back where it is as its the highest point in the loop.

try to modify the H60 buy a resevoir, some tubes and some cooling liquid, that way you will clear the air bubbles inside, and the price will be about 60$.

As much as I would love to do that, I only have a Phantom 410 and I don't have the room in my case.

  • 3 weeks later...

Contact corsair again and tell them your situation and see if they can't work something out with you!  They have very good customer support and might pay the shipping.

Ok so a status update of sorts. I contacted them back and they told me to call customer service. That has caused some major issues in trying to get this to proceed. I live on the east coast of Australia, while the location of customer service is on the west coast of the US. It had to be in the worst possible place in the world, as it means I am unable to call due to university. My courses start early in the mornings and I live a fair distance from the uni, and due to the requirement of sleep (which I don't get much of as it is), I am unable to call them. So progress has stalled until I finish this semester. So I was wondering if anyone knows an email address in which I can contact the customer service team. I have looked on their website and all I can find is sales. I have always had good service from corsair in the past but this is becoming a real pain. Why can't they just have it so either the person who starts dealing with the customer can handle the whole situation, or have it so the issue can be continued with a person from a different department, instead of making the customer travel around the world to solve the issue. This service is still better then that offered by NZXT who wouldn't even reply, I need to email a rep directly.

Meanwhile the condition of my H60 is not getting any better, it is now starting to make loud noises (at least I believe its the H60 making these extra noises as I have removed all other moving part, except the PSU, and the noise doesn't stop. This noise issue is stop start, so I am thinking it may be a bubble has managed to make it into the pump, instead of just sitting at the top of the rad.)

how is the radiator mounted? hoses on top or on the bottom?

have you "tipped' the case gently to work the air from the pump back into the radiator.

because this is a sealed system, they cannot fully fill them. so any disturbance of

the "reservoir" allowing the air to re-enter the pumps, will have to be re-bled off.

if the air has allowed the pump to run dry, damage can occur.

usually, starting an RMA and enlisting the corsair forum to aid in troubleshooting and

advanced RMA help is a start..

The bubbles seem to be making their way into the pump, which then creates abnormal noise, which is quite noticeable since the system is normally dead quiet. As I have said in other post Corsair has accepted the RMA, only issue is the postage being the same prices as the H60.
