I recently put together a hifi system but I get this awful speaker hum. It stays at a constant volume. It’s also always present no matter which input I’m on. Anyone know what could cause this type of hum (sound recording attached)

It's almost certainly a ground loop. Are all your equipment plugged into the same socket, or at least on the same ground circuit?

Here's some reading that might help you.

That is absolutely ground loop noise, It's constant on any input and constant on any volume

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)
