Customizable panel for xfce4

Hi there.

I was wondering if there is a nice panel which has good customization options and works well with xfce.

I really wish there was something like a standard awesome-wm panel with its configurability power, and yet as simple as tint panel.

I'd like to add some other info like proper weather display and stuff.

Thanks!

P.S. many will say 'just use awesome then', but it's been a year since I struggle to do that, but I just don't have enough time for this.

You may have a look at GitHub and search for "xfce4 panel" and if there are any forks or different implementations.
There also much plugins hosted on GitHub (and elsewhere) to somewhat extend the configuration-ability of the xfce4 panel.

And regarding awesome: I was a long time awesome user, but nowadays I would recommend using i3. It's not that hard to get into it, and it's customizable in like any ways. So if you've got time in the future and want to give tiling (and not only tiling regarding i3) window managers a try, try i3 (you can even use i3 in a classical "mouse drag" manner like xfce4).

Thanks, but I've found no good enough forks of xfce4 panel. Moreover, the xfce components are bound together so badly, that patching just one of them can ruin everything (from personal experience). Functionally, xfce panel is ok for me, but it could have looked better.

When I was using i3 last time (about 4-5 years ago), it was really bad. Awesome seemed to me like an i3 on steroids (just like fish shell and zsh, you know), and I see lots of i3 posts in /r/unixporn.

Right now I'm looking at polybar.

P.S. Hm, first post? Welcome to forums!
