Display driver failed to start

My computer has some serious issue´s. But i cant figure out why. Any help would be very appreciated. 

 

Since two days my nvidea drivers failed to start. Windows does boot and i get a image from the card but not via the Nvidea drivers. I tried reinstalling everything with DDU. After that i got BSOD messages VIDEO_DXGKRNL_FATAL_ERROR. Then i reinstalled the latest nvidea driver in Safe Mode. After that the BSOD messages are gone but i'm back to a non starting display driver.

 

Some other things that needs to be noted:

- When starting up windows my dekstop is unresponsive for a couple of minutes. Taskbar does work.

- i had two broken SSD drive in the last two weeks

- Before this issue i had frequent freeze's of the system. This takes +- 30sec after the its business as usual, the system continuous were it left. This stopped after disabling the realtek motherboard sound card.

 

I have a feeling that this is a deeper problem but don't know how to troubleshoot it. Maybe something with the Motherboard or PSU?

 

i ran several CPU, memory and GPU Tests (before the nvidea issue) and this all came out perfectly fine.

 

Motherboard: Asus Prime Z390-A

CPU: i7-8700k 

GPU: Nvidea RTX 2070

Memory: G.Skill Aegis -  DDR4  4 x 8 GB - DIMM 288-PIN - 3000 MHz

PSU: Seasonic Focus Plus Gold 65

Have you updated to the latest BIOS (for both motherboard and GPU), and made sure to REMOVE the graphics drivers before reinstalling them (to avoid corrupt drivers)?

 

Also, is there more information on the BSOD? That might hold the clue to what is actually going on. Also please the Windows event logs for that time to see if there are any errors.

 

Sometimes a clean install of Windows is faster than troubleshooting intermittent issues.
