Front Audio connector

Go to solution Solved by Sky7734,

After another problem I decided to reseat all of my cables and such. And in doing so I rerouted the audio cable (not sure if it made a difference) and it worked? Yay? So to anyone who has a similar problem try to do that first.

Hello!

I am new here but I thought that this was the right place that I should put this.

So i recently purchased a ROG Strix B-450-F Gaming and a Fractal Design Focus-G case and other components that shoulden't really matter. So I have this problem with my front audio connector. (NOT MY MIC PORT, my mic port works just fine, as I use it for audio right now.) Whenever I plug my headphones into my audio port I get nothing but an electrical whine and nothing else. I have contacted Fractal and they sent me a new front I/O panel and I installed it and I have the same problem but this time, when I move my mouse and scroll wheel and a couple of other things that affect the static. I have looked online else where and almost nobody has the same problem that I have. Here are the things that I have done to troubleshoot this problem, I have reseated the connector multiple times, I have gotten a new front panel from Fractal, I have installed and reinstalled the drivers multiple times as well, I have tried other cables and lastly I have tried a couple of other things on the internet. if you have any suggestions please say so I cannot figure this problem out. Thanks!

I think your motherboard might have an issue. Is your rear headphone jack produce the same whining noise?

As for me, I would send my motherboard for inspection. This could be the problem of a faulty capacitor, soldering flaw, or just bad IO chip.

I apologies if my comments or post offends you in any way, or if my rage got a little too far. I'll try my best to make my post as non-offensive as much as possible.
