How do I disable Windows' "auto check" usb drives on boot?

18358414

I have a USB flash drive that is specifically formatted with FAT32 to work with a bridgeport CNC mill from the 1990s.  If it is not formatted correctly, it might as well be garbage because I can't transfer files to the CNC mill.

If I leave the drive plugged into the computer, EVERY SINGLE TIME, WITHOUT FAIL, Windows decides to "check for errors" and completely borks up the drive beyond use.  I then have to take it back to the CNC machine to re-format it which can leave me with an unusable drive for the entire weekend.

So I guess Windows doesn't like FAT32 or something, but can I make it so that I can leave the drive plugged in when my computer restarts without having the thing get completely trashed?

If I have to explain every detail, I won't talk to you.  If you answer a question with what can be found through 10 seconds of googling, you've contributed nothing, as I assure you I've already considered it.

What a world we would be living in if I had to post several paragraphs every time I ask a question.
