DeX not booting up

I tried connecting my S8 Active to my USB-C hub, with a HDMI to DVI-D cable, but it kept saying "Make sure that HDMI is plugged in properly". Can anyone help me plz?

Is it a officially DeX compatible hub?

If not, getting DeX to run is iffy at best.

 

Have you (if possible) tried just HDMI?

I've personally come across a couple cheaper hubs that just refuse to work with DVI displays.

I tried a projector with HDMI on both ends, and it also didn't work. Guess I had to buy a compatible hub then.
